Driver was quite late in the morning so was absolutely blasting it the whole way. I rate it, I respect it, and I know that they have a different gauge of what is safe, but it was murder on my stomach at points. Didn’t realise we could fill the requisite forms out at the border and the email we got originally suggested we had to do the online version, but we didn’t have time to print. It ended up making life way more stressful at the border and we nearly got double charged so it would be cool to have clearer wording in future. Otherwise it was a comfy journey and our driver across the Mexican border was a lovely guy.

Probably the best way to cross at this location because of the distance between border agents. Prompt. Super fast driver in Guatemala who could manage texts, calls, music, all while navigating the curves like he knew the road like the back of his hand. It was fun, but if you’re the sort to be scared in the car…. Problems at entering Mexico held up some our group and our driver and everyone was patient and kind in waiting. Road conditions are less curvy and better overall in Mexico. Our driver knew alternative routes when traffic was heavy and calmly went right around the blockages.
